The Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home is the most recent addition to Cardaras Funeral Home family. In 1996, Van Cardaras purchased the funeral home from Nevin Souers, who operated the business for over 20 years. Mr. Souers was committed to a high standard of service to his community, which he personally entrusted to Mr. Cardaras. Since that time, the Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home has demonstrated its personal commitment to the families of Nelsonville time and time again by combining compassion, quality, and affordability.
The Home in its present location was built in 1954, and exemplifies the detailed workmanship of the times. While the home has since been renovated, the grandeur and elegance are still present. French doors, plaster light cornices, and other period craftsmanship respectfully add to the warmth and ease of the environment. A recently completed family center with a large, adjoining kitchen offers even more comfort and convenience to our families.
