Van Cardaras is a native of Glouster, Ohio. While a student at Glouster High School, Van began his career working at the VanFossen Funeral Home (now owned by Cardaras). After high school, Van attended Ohio University and then earned his Funeral Director certification at the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.
With over 25 years of experience, Van manages the Cardaras Funeral Homes in Logan, Nelsonville, and Glouster, Ohio. In 2002, Cardaras Funeral Home was honored with the Small Business of the Year Award by the Logan Hocking Chamber of Commerce.
Van is also an active leader in his community. Among his many community activities, Van is a past President and current board member of Logan Rotary Club, Secretary of Hocking College Foundation Board, former Hocking District Chairman, Boy Scouts of America, Past President of the Hocking Valley Community Hospital Foundation Board, Secretary of the Osteopathic Heritage Foundation, and a charter member of the Funeral Ethics Association.

A native of Logan, Ohio, Ted Morrison began working for Cardaras Funeral Home in high school. Ted received his Bachelors Degree from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science in 1991 and became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 1992.
Ted lives in Nelsonville with his wife, Collene, and daughters, Lia and Juliana.

Rodney Call, Associate
Rodney Call was born and raised in Nelsonville, Ohio. A graduate of Nelsonville High School, Rodney began working full-time at the Johnson-Souers Funeral Home in 1983. Rodney and his wife, Connie (Standall), live in Nelsonville with their sons, Brian and Mark. |

Paula Hammon was born and raised in Logan, Ohio. She is a graduate of Logan High School and a member of the First Baptist Church. She lives in Logan with her husband Rob and two daughters Emily and Tess. |

Dorothy Gettle, Visitation Greeter
Dorothy Gettle was raised in Nelsonville, Ohio, and graduated from Nelsonville High School in 1957. Following her 40-year career at Ohio University, she joined Cardaras Funeral Home in 1999. Dorothy is active in Nelsonville's First United Methodist Church, the Stuart Opera House Guild, the Nelsonville High School Restoration Foundation and many other important community projects. |

Sylvia Hanning, Visitation Greeter
Sylvia Hanning was born and raised in Nelsonville, Ohio. She graduated from Nelsonville High School in 1952, and worked at Kroger for 36 years. Sylvia is a member of the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church, and has been married to her husband, Joe, for 25 years. |
