Joanne Louise Dietz, 84, of Logan, passed away August 20, 2012 at Hocking Valley Community Hospital in Logan. She was born January 8, 1928 in Hardin Co., daughter of the late Elmer and Lelah Mentzer Koch. Joanne was the widow of the late Merle "Ed" Dietz.
She retired from Risch's Drug Store and was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church.
Joanne is survived by her daughters, Karen (Michael) Cottrill of Logan and Deborah Bazell of Logan; grandchildren, Michelle (Mark) Claffey, Melissa (Devin) Mackey, Brian (Shawntel) Bazell, Scott (Meshell) Bazell and Jennifer Bazell and great grandchildren, Morgan Cottrill, Brandon, Sarah and Blaine Bazell.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her great grandchild, Ruth Mackey, brothers, Walter "Bud" Koch and Glenn Koch and a sister, Eleanor "Jo" Stout.
Funeral services will be held 10 A.M., Friday, August 24, 2012 in the Immanuel United Methodist Church, 66 E. Hunter St., Logan, with Rev. Gerald Frazee officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens, Rockbridge. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, on Thursday, from 5-8 P.M. and on Friday, one hour prior to the services at the church.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Joanne Dietz to Immanuel United Methodist Church, 66 E. Hunter St., Logan, Ohio 43138.
