June R. Simmons-Mcconnell

June R. Simmons-McConnell, 77 of New Straitsville, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2003, at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, Logan. She was born January 15, 1926, in Birmingham AL., daughter of the late Charles W. and Minnie M Powell Powell. Widow of the late Harold Simmons and G. Archer McConnell.

She is survived by 1 brother, James D. Cheryl A. Powell of Blancherster, OH; 2 sisters Delores George Lazzell of Sebring, FL and Nancy Powell of New Straitsville; several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by 1 brother William Powell and 1 sister Alice Powell.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2003, 1:00 p.m., at Sunset Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio with Rev. Jon Hanning officiating. Friends may call at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan, on Wednesday, May 28, 2003 from 6-8 PM.
