John W. Burchfield

John W. Burchfield, 62, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, July 9th, 2003 at his residence. He was born July 8th, 1941 in Nelsonville, preceded in death by his father Dale Burchfield and survived by his mother Eileen Bumgardner Burchfield of Nelsonville. He was married to Mary Harvey Burchfield of Nelsonville.

He was a superintendent with the Maiden Jenkins Construction company for many years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Tony Faith Burchfield of The Plains; Two daughters, Leah David Navarro of Bidwell, Molly Randy Woolum of The Plains; Nine grandchildren Joshua Frost, Eli and Ethan Burchfield, Abby Fox, Chelsey Mender, Sarah, Corey, Jessica, and Hannah Woolum; one great granddaughter, Aubrey ?Boo? Thompson; One brother Max Carolyn Burchfield of Chapin, South Carolina; Nephew and niece, Matthew and Stephanie Burchfield, both of South Carolina

John was preceded in death by his father Dale, and Father and Mother- in- Law, Jack and Faye Slater.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, July 13th, 2003 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville with Rev. David Cogar officiating. Interment will be at Connett Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Saturday, July 12th, 2003 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
