Gerald R Phillips

Gerald R. Phillips, 67, of The Plains, passed away Wednesday, September 10th, 2003 at the Lindley Inn, in The Plains. He was born January 11th, 1936, the son of the late Cecil and Vesper Phillips. He was the husband of Connie Phillip, who survives.

Jerry was a Vietnam Veteran who retired from the United States Army after twenty years of selfless service. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Jerry is survived by sons Gerald Holly Phillips Jr., Steven Dawn Phillips, stepson Jon Kim Norway, daughter Becky Ronald Norway, grandchildren Tara and Amber Phillips, Patrick and Robert Norway, Tyler, Madison, Anne, and Megan Phillips, step-granddaughter Alexis Norway, and brothers Thomas and Danny Joe Phillips.

In addition to his parents, Jerry?s first wife, Wanda Phillips, preceded him in death in 1995.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 13th, at 11:00 A.M.at Souers-Cardaras Funeral home, with Pastor John Wright officiating. Interment will be at Carbon-Hill cemetery in Buchtel. Friends may call Friday, September 12th, from 5-8 P.M., at Souers-Cardaras funeral home in Nelsonville.
