Leura E. Willison

Leura E. ?Granny? Willison, 97, of Albany, formerly of the Nelsonville area, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at O?Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens. She was born March 26, 1906 in Boone County, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Lacy and Mary Jerrell. She was the widow of Pearl Willison.

Leura was retired from Crane Plastics.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Garnett Willison of Nelsonville, eight grandchildren, Janet and Roger Crow of Athens, Brenda and Daniel Ferguson, Carl Willison, Steven and Felicia Willison, Debra and Ray MacCombs all of Nelsonville, Donald and Erma Mays of Wellston, Danny Mays of Carbon Hill and Doug Mays of Columbus, twelve great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, a son, Pearl Willison, a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Dan Mays, a sister, Elsie Barker, a brother, Hershel Jerrell and three infant siblings preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, September 27, 2003 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville with Minister John King officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
