Donald N. Swanson

Donald N. Swanson, 91, of The Plains, formerly of the Lindley Inn, passed away Saturday, October 4th, 2003, at The Kimes Convalescent Center in The Plains. He was born February 24th, 1912 in North Dakota, the son of the late Edward and Sadie Swanson. He was the husband of the late Ruby Overby Swanson.

Donald was a machinist in California, a member of the Nelsonville Senior Citizens Club, and drove for Meals on Wheels in Nelsonville.

He is survived by a daughter Connie Phillips of the Plains, grandchildren Ronald Becky, Jon Kim, Dennis, Brian, and Susan, great grandchildren Patrick, Robert, and Alexis Norway, and several other great grandchildren in California, and a brother, Dale Pat Swanson of Los Angeles.

In addition to his parents and wife, Donald was preceded in death by a son, Clayton Robert ?Bob? Swanson, and sisters Kay and Marlis Hartsell.

A memorial service will take place at 7:00 P.M., Monday, October 6th, 2003 at the Lindley Inn, 9000 Hocking Hills Drive, The Plains, Ohio with John Wright officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in Donald?s memory be made to the American Cancer Society.
