Marvin E. Byers, 84, of Logan, passed away Friday, October 24th, 2003, at Anna?s Retirement Center, Logan. He was born April 4, 1919 in Logan, Ohio, the son of the late James and Flora Erwin Byers. He was the husband of late Edna Marie Winchester.

He was employed at the Pentagon, a veteran with the Army serving in WWII, Korea and Vietnam, a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Logan, Logan Moose Lodge #873, Logan VFW Post 6430, Lancaster American Legion Post #11, Lancaster VFW Post 1516

He is survived by 2 Nephews Stephen Zachel of Northwood and James Petz of Delta, Ohio.

In addition to his wife and parents he is preceeded in death by 2 sisters, Elizabeth Jane Zachel and Rheda Petz, and 1 cousin Dorothy Nutter.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday October 28, 2003 at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan with Rev. Rick Bennington officiating, Military services will be performed by the Combined Veterans Burial Detail of Hocking County. Friends May call 6-8 PM Monday October 27, 2003 at the funeral home.
