Eddie L. Roberts

Eddie L. Roberts, 56, of Nelsonville, passed away Thursday, November 13th, 2003 at his residence in Nelsonville. He was born July 16th, 1947 in Athens County, the son of the late Joan Adkins Roberts, and the late Robert Roberts, and Shirley Roberts of Millfield. Eddie is survived by his spouse of 32 years, Judy Banik Roberts.

Eddie was a retired police officer of over 20 years, and was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam Wars. Eddie was a member of the Murray City American Legion, and was a national member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by two sons, Charles Tiffany Crihfield Roberts of Nelsonville, Jesse Shawna Roberts of Murray City, daughter Susan Mike Barron of The Plains, grandchildren Tyler, Kylie, Nakayla, and Tre, brothers Monty Brenda Roberts of Millfield, Robin Roberts of Millfield, and Randy Martha Roberts of The Plains, sisters Diane Roberts of Millfield, Penny James Moore of Logan, and Bonnie Sue Gary Hook of Nelsonville.

Eddie was preceded in death by a brother Jesse Evert, sister Darla Kay, and stepfather James Powell.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 19th, 2003 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville, with Mike Thomas officiating. Burial will be at Beech Grove cemetery, Perry County, where military rites will be performed by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may call Tuesday, November 18th, 2003 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. the funeral home.
