Harold Lee Coe

October 25, 1932 — November 26, 2003

Harold L. Coe, 71, of New Marshfield, passed away Wednesday, November 26th, 2003 at O?Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. He was born October 25th, 1932 in Athens County, the son of the late Carl and Edith Smith Coe, the husband of the late Francis Sapp.

Harold was retired from Ohio University after 29 years as a groundskeeper, and attended the Salem non-denominational church. He was an avid hunter, and enjoyed the outdoors.

Harold is survived by a step-daughter, Margaret Eggleston of Nelsonville, 2 step grand-children, brothers Carl Betty Coe of West Milton, John Betty Coe of Lancaster, sisters Goldie LaFollette of Lancaster, Lucille Joe Bentley of Circleville, Maxine James Gabbard of Dayton, Edith Michael Eads of Lancaster, Connie Richard Taylor of Nelsonville.

In addition to his parents and wife, Harold is preceded in death by sisters Pauline Smith, and Luella Six.

Memorial Contributions in Harold?s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, December 1st, 2003 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville with the Reverend Roger Lyons, Officiating. Burial will be at Pratts Fork Cemetery, Pratts Fork, Ohio. Friends may call Sunday, November 30th, 2003 from 6-8 P.M. the funeral home.
