Harry A. Thornton

Harry A. Thornton, 57, of Millfield, passed away Monday, December 1, 2003 at O?Bleness Memorial Hospital, Athens. He was born August 17, 1946 in Cleveland, the son of Florence Bishop Thornton Nichols of Eastlake and the late Richard G. Thornton. He was married to Linda Kasler Thornton of Millfield.

Harry was a retired bus driver from the Athens City School District. He attended the Redtown Free Methodist Church.

Helen is survived by one daughter Lovetta Thornton of Millfield, one brother, Richard and Patricia Thornton of Carlisle, Pennsylvania and two sisters, Floetta and Larry Wilhelm of Eastlake and Dawn Nichols Huff of Waterford, Pennsylvania, one step-sister, Gertrude Morgan of Cory, Pennsylvania.

In addition to his father, Harry is preceded in death by a son Richard Thornton, a stepfather, Joseph Nichols and granparents, Harry and Lovetta Thornton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, December 5, 2003 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville with Reverend Leland Allman. Burial will be at Hilltop Cemetery, Millfield. Friends may call Thursday, December 4, 2003 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. the funeral home.
