Lucille E. Pierce, 88, of Millfield, passed away Wednesday, December 11th, 2003 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in The Plains. She was born March 2nd, 1915 in Athens County, the daughter of Leonard and Elsie Morgan Six.

Lucille worked as a cook throughout her life, was a member of the Salem Community Church where she taught Sunday school, loved sewing and quilting, and was an avid reader of books.

Lucille is survived by one daughter, Lucille Chester Buck of The Plains, daughter in law, Stella Pierce of Millfield, grandchildren Steven Anita Buck of The Plains, Kathy Thomas of Millfield, Karen Scott Johnson of Pataskala, 4 great grandchildren, brothers Birgie Viola Six of Athens, Harold Juanita Six of Nelsonville, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Lucille is preceded in death by sons Leslie and Wilbur Pierce, 2 brothers and sisters in law, Ralph Helen Six, and Richmond Luella Six.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 15th, 2003 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, Nelsonville. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery, Waterloo Township. Friends may call Sunday, December 14th, 2003 from 2-6 P.M. at the funeral home.
