Ernestine ?Teen? Young

Ernestine ?Teen? Young, 73, of Logan, passed away Friday, December 12th, 2003 at her residence in Logan. She was born January 4th, 1930 in Athens County, the daughter of the late George Ernest and Gertrude Alice Briley Smith. She was married to William E. Young for 49 wonderful years.

Teen was a homemaker all her life, and was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Logan, The V.F.W. Auxiliary #6430, and the Marine Corps Auxiliary.

She is survived by one son, William C. Young of Columbus, three daughters, Jo Ann Don Blanton of New Lexington, Marjorie Young of New Lexington, and Mary Young of Norcross Georgia, 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brother Phil Wanda Smith of Columbus, and a sister, Ruth Will Beckwith of Baltimore, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, Teen is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Judith Young.

The family requests that contributions in Ernestine?s name be made to the American Heart Association at P.O. Box 5812, Athens, Ohio 45701.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 16th, 2003 at Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan, with Pastor Kenny Kidd Officiating. V.F.W. Auxiliary services will be performed at 10:30 A.M. the day of the funeral. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the services on Tuesday. In fulfilling Ernestine?s wishes, her body will be donated to the Ohio University Osteopathic Medical College upon completion of the funeral services.
