Elizabeth Florence Matheny, 97, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2003 at Pine Hills Continuing Care Center of Nelsonville.
She was born November 10, 1906 in Nelsonville, daughter of the late Adolph and Margaret Kennedy Stedem. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband John R. Matheny.
She was a member of St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church.
She is survived by a son, Ed Beverly Matheny of Buchtel; one grandson, Rob Missy Matheny of Glouster; four great grandchildren, Angel and Christian Matheny of Phoenix, AZ and Kristen and Andrew Boysen of Woodstock, GA.
She is preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral liturgy with mass will be held at 12:00 P.M., Friday, December 26, 2003 at St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church, Buchtel, with Father John Mucha officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan.
Friends may call Friday, December 26, 2003 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church, Buchtel.
