Ruth Catherine Shaw

July 1, 1919 — January 27, 2004

Ruth Catherine Shaw, 84, formerly of Nelsonville, residing at Crestview Manor Nursing Home for the past eight years, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster. She was born July 1, 1919 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late James Arthur and Goldie Belle Thompson Kuhn.

Ruth is survived by two sons, James Michael Shaw of Columbus, and Charles Patrick Shaw of Lake Choctaw, three daughters, Nancy Lee and Walter Ballinger of Lake Wells, Florida, Sandra Kay and James Hall of Logan, and Catherine SuLynn and Joseph Huff of Logan, grandchildren, Linda Slee, Roger Lee, Tracy Christman, Jeff Baker, Scott Baker, Marty Baker, David Hall, James Shaw, Michelle Martin, Christine Shaw, Tony Shaw, Tammy Shaw, Christopher Holtel, Shasta Brown, Alex Holtel, JaLynn Huff, and 16 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Grace Louise Windle of Nelsonville, Mary Margaret Warner of Dublin, and Donna Jean and Robert Seiple of Muirfield and three sisters-in-law, Mary Kuhn of Nelsonville, Wilma Kuhn, Geneva Kuhn and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Delbert, Dwight, and Charles Kuhn, an infant sister, Virginia Kuhn, sister and brother-in-law, Nellie and Howard LeFever and two brothers-in-law, Earl Warner and Everett Windle.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 31, 2004 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville, with Pastor Clifford Christman, husband of granddaughter Tracy Christman, officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, Friday, January 30, 2004.
