Max Leroy McGlothlin, 80, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2004, at Arcadia Acres Nursing Home of Logan.
He was born September 30, 1923, in Meigs Co., son of the late Harry and Alma Grate McGlothlin. He is survived by his wife Ruth E. Hensley McGlothlin of Logan.
Max was retired from the Hocking Co. Garage where he worked as an equipment operator. He also was a former school bus driver in Union Furnace and a farmer. Max was a WWII Army veteran.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Bobby Betty McGlothlin of Logan; three daughters, Maxine John Ward of Myakka City, FL, Marlene Mount of Logan and Charlene Randy Wittekind of Logan; six grandchildren, Melinda Burrow, Missy Mohler, Lisa Snider, B.J. McGlothlin, Bobby Joe McGlothlin and Nikki Wittekind; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Leda Lambert of Union Furnace and Norma Tommy Sprouse of Union Furnace.
He was preceded in death by a son Tommy McGlothlin, a brother Cecil McGlothlin a sister Mary Belle Cherry and a son-in-law Garry Mount.
Funeral sevices will be held Saturday, 1 p.m., at Cardaras Funeral Home 183 E. Second St. Logan, with Dr. Randy Hardman, officiating. Interment will be in Knollwood Cemetery, Logan.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
