Charles Nelson Coffman Sr., 71, of Glouster, passed away Friday, March 26, 2004 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home, The Plains. He was born October 4, 1932 in Glouster the son of the late Joseph Nelson and Clara Whitlatch Dyer Coffman. He was married to Betty Jean Nott Coffman who survives.
He was a farmer, a retired postman in Glouster and was retired from Kroger. He was an Elder and member at Oakdale Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by three sons, Charles Nelson Coffman Jr. of Tucson, Arizona, Jeffrey Mary Coffman and Randy Anna Coffman all of Glouster, four daughters, Vicky Terry Hooper, Brenda David McCoy all of Glouster, Mary Steve Hewitt of The Plains and Kimberley Virgil Decore of Glouster, twenty-two grandchildren, three great grandchildren, two sisters, Minnie Jim Kasler of Louisville, Ohio, and Mildred Amos of Canton.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a half brother, Elton ?Zeke? Coffman and two half sisters, Maude Keslering and Violet Stemm.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main Street, Glouster, with Roger Powell officiating. Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Friends may call Monday, March 29, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
