Paul Edward Conrad, 77, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, May 05, 2004 at his residence. He was born January 31, 1927 in Haydenville, the son of the late Raymond W. and Lucille A. Miller Conrad. He was married to Romona ?Susie? Mae Davis Conrad who survives.

Paul was a member of the First Baptist Church, Nelsonville. He was an aircraft machinist for North American Rockwell, a World War II Navy Veteran and was an active member of the Jimmy Jones V.F.W., Nelsonville. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and was formerly active in the Nelsonville Old Timers Baseball Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Paul P. Evlin Conrad of Lancaster, Dexter Conrad of Nelsonville, Michael Mary Conrad of Logan and stepson, Bob Laurie Davis of Buchtel, five daughters, Marcia Jerry Primes of Nelsonville, Linda McDonald of Nelsonville, Debbie Isaac Hinton of Columbus, Candy Roger Ellison of Pataskala, Toni A.J. Saunders of Columbus, twenty-five grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, one brother, Bernard Marty Conrad of Logan, and two sisters, Pauline Miller of Nelsonville and Josephine Walker of Dayton.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by four sisters, Christine Stevens, Thelma Conrad, Margaret Ann Peppers, and Audrey Lucille Conrad, three brothers, Stanley, Tracy and Jackie Conrad, a son, Brett Conrad and two grandsons, Tyrone Conrad and Raylyn Primes.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 8, 2004 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville, with Rev. Ronald Chunn officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, New Addition where military honors will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may call Friday, May 7, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
