Mona Lee Chaney

Mona Lee Chaney, 71, of Carbondale, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2004 at her residence. She was born October 31, 1932 in Athens County the daughter of the late Allen and Inez Gabriel Blackford. She was married to Clifford Chaney of Carbondale.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, David Bernadette Chaney, Andy Helen Chaney both of Nelsonville and Bruce Chaney of Carbondale, seven grandchildren, Robert Jamie Sears, Andrea Darin Trippier, Benjamin Chaney, Michael Chaney, Tony Chaney, Jenn Sears, Nickolas Chaney and Ashley Sears, one brother, Clayton Blackford of Millfield, special thanks to Sam Coffey of Nelsonville for all of his help and assistance and special friends Chalk Mona Dickerson of Carbondale and Carolyn Giffin of Athens.

In addition to her parents , Mona was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Blackford.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville. Interment will be at New Marshfield Cemetery, New Marshfield. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
