January 16, 1928 — June 3, 2004

Roger V. Popeye Moore 76, of Haydenville, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2004, at Hocking Valley Community Hospital. He was born January 16, 1928, Haydenville, Ohio son of the late Phillip A. and Marie Poetker Moore. He was married to Jean Harris Moore who survives for 55 years.

Roger was retired from General Clay Products in Diamond, he attended the Haydenville United Methodist Church, and was WWII Army Air Corp Veteran.

He is survived by one son Roger V. Kathy Moore Jr. of Haydenville, one daughter Letha Keith Conner of Nelsonville, eight grandchildren Stacy Philip Venrick, Stefan Andrea Conner, Erin Shawn Fraunfelter, Beth Troy Frear, Chad Moore, Brian Jackie Moore, Bud Eastman and Sherry Eastman, eight great grandchildren, two brothers James B. Marjie Moore of Logan and Victor Ruth Moore of Dayton, and one sister Katie Gideon Sharb of Logan.

He is preceded in death by three brothers Lewis, Charles, and William Moore and two sisters Nancy Smith and Beulah Vollmer.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 7, 11:00 AM at Cardaras Funeral Home 183 E. Second St. Logan, with Rev. Rick Bennington and Rev. Steve Hubbard officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, Nelsonville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday June 6, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
