Irene A. Freeman

November 14, 1918 — July 13, 2004

Irene A. Freeman, 85, of Millfield, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at her residence. She was born November 14, 1918 in Athens County the daughter of the late Joseph and Fannie Stevens Jackson. She was the wife of the late Edward Earl Pyle who passed away in 1967 and her second husband, the late Donald Freeman who passed away in 1997.

Irene was retired from the Belk Simpson Co., Athens and she attended the Salem Community Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Carsey of Athens; one son; Randy Cindy Pyle of Chauncey; a dog, Josh; a cat, Ziggy; nineteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and friends and special friend Marion Richardson.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, James Pyle; a daughter, Joyce Graves; a grandson, Timothy Carsey; and many brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville with Rev. David Cogar officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
