Dorothy Helena Roman

Dorothy ?Doris? Helena Roman, 89, of Rocky River, formerly of Corning, passed away Friday, August 20, 2004 at Fairview General Hospital, Cleveland. She was born July 16, 1915 in Glouster, the daughter of the late John and Dominika Trazska Zglenicki. She was the widow of the late John Roman.

Doris was a member of St. Christopher?s Catholic Church in Rocky River and was an active member of the Rocky River Senior Center. When she lived in Corning, she was active in the St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church in Buchtel.

She is survived two daughters, Dorothy D. Roman of Rocky River and Patricia Denny Roman Atkinson of Colorado Springs, CO; one grandson, Matthew Noel Crystal Atkinson of Manassas, VA; special niece and goddaughter, Carolyn Jarvis Sikora Gambrell; special nephew, James Becky Sikora, and many other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Zalenski, Jean Sikora and Gladys Zalenski.

Funeral liturgy with mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 27, 2004 at St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church, Buchtel, with Father John Mucha officiating. Internment will be in St. Patrick cemetery, Buchtel. Friends may call Wednesday, August 25, 2004 from 5-8 P.M. and Thursday, August 26, 2004 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main St., Glouster.
