Robert W. Cooper, 68, of South Bloomingville, passed away Wednesday, September 1, 2004, at Hocking Valley Community Hospital of Logan. He was born February 20, 1936, in Gallipolis, son of the late Brian and Genevieve Starkweather Cooper. He was married to Elizabeth Flinn Cooper, who survives. They were married for 50 years.
Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. serving in the Korean Conflict and was the manager for Corporate Preparatory Systems at Reynolds & Reynolds in Dayton. He and his wife were foster parents for 25 years.
He is survived by three sons, Scott Cooper of Miamisburg, Robert Sandy Cooper of Kettering, and Shawn Cooper of New Carlisle; five daughters, Linda Bob Schnelle of Columbus, Deborah Buckles of Franklin, Elizabeth Jerry Johnson of Xenia, Susan Cooper of Xenia, and Leigh Anne Cooper of the home; sixteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Paul Frances Cooper of Florida; two sisters, Pearl Trow and Billie Kuhns, both of Avon Park, Florida.
Funeral services will be held Saturday September 4, 2004 at 2:00 PM, Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan with Rev. Rick Bennington Officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
