Dolores Thomas

Dolores Thomas, 92, of Nelsonville, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2004 at her residence. She was born February 2, 1912 in Athens County, Ohio the daughter of the late William and Georgia Gould Adams.

Dolores was a member of the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church. She retired as a nurse from Athens Mental Health Center, Doctors Hospital Nelsonville and Logan Health Care Center.

She is survived by one son, Kenny Clowes of Nelsonville; seven grandchildren, Barbara Tim Hall of Grove City, Debbie Mike White of Nelsonville, Tom Janice Clowes of Millfield, Lois Bob Lupher of Warsaw, Jeri Max Moran of Frazeysburg, J.D. Jaime Clowes of McArthur and Matthew Clowes of Nelsonville; 19 great grandchildren; 19 great great grandchildren and former daughter-in-law and friend Della Clowes.

In addition to her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her first husband, John Henry Clowes; second husband, Kenneth Thomas; a daughter, Lois Gerhardstein; two sisters, Bernice McClain, and Virginia Scurlock and one brother, Russell Adams.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Nelsonville Wesleyan Church, Chestnut and Harper Sts., Nelsonville with Rev. Mike Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Wednesday, September 8, 2004 from 6-8 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette St., Nelsonville and Thursday one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
