Audrey F. Evans, 76, of Lancaster, formerly of Logan, passed away Monday, September 6, 2004, at Fairfield Medical Center of Lancaster.
She was born December 7, 1927, in Hocking Co., daughter of the late Charles H. and Beatrice Six Stephenson. She is preceded in death by her husband William Evans Jr.
Audrey was employed at Essex Wire Co. and also was a member of the First Christian Church of Lancaster. She was a volunteer at Robbin?s Crossing in Nelsonville.
She is survived by two sons, James Evans and James Joan Bartow both of Logan; three daughters, Billie Harry Cotton, Diane Richard Tipple Taley and Christy Thomas Nye all of Lancaster; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Rhea Marvin Bean of Pomeroy and Linda Hines of West Virginia; her pet and best friend Baby; special friends Junior and Dawn Accord of Nelsonville and Norm.
In addition to her parents and husband she is preceded in death by a daughter Shirley Crawford, a grandson Harry Eugene Cotton Jr., and two brothers Ralph and Charles Stephenson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at Cardaras Funeral Home 183 E. Second St. Logan, with assistant pastor Lola Taylor, officiating. Interment will be in Shaw cemetery, Logan.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
