Jack M. Patton, 86, of Glouster, passed away Monday, September 20th, 2004 at O?Bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born June 14th, 1918 in Nelsonville, the son of the late Jim and Edith Cope Patton. He was married to Laura Skinner Patton. She survives.

He was a twenty year, retired, WWII veteran of The United States Air Force, where he served as a Chief of Operations.

Jack was a member of the Glouster United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Jacksonville V.F.W., and a member of the Nelsonville American Legion.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 24th, 2004 at Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main Street, Glouster, with Rev. Hal Keeton officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Military rites will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may call Thursday, September 23rd, from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
