Benjamin Harrison Cooper Jr.

Benjamin H. Cooper Jr., 75, of Daleville, Alabama, formerly of Logan, passed away Friday, October 1, 2004, at Hocking Valley Community Hospital of Logan.
He was born November 19, 1928, in Reese Station, Ohio, son of the late Benjamin H. and Lulu B. Fisher Cooper Sr. He is preceded in death by his first wife Mildred Kern Cooper and is survived by his 2nd wife Marjorie Dolores Souders Cooper of Daleville, Alabama.
Benjamin served in the Army during the Korean conflict, was a member of the Lancaster American Legion Post #11 and the Logan Amvets Post #1776.
In addition to his wife he is survived by a son, Daniel Donna Cooper of Panama City, Florida; a daughter, Barbara Allen Vorhees of Lancaster; six grandchildren, Jason Brandi Vorhees, Katie Todd Bolsen, Tina Eric Schall, SSGT Howard Boyer, Sylvia Cooper and Rachel Cooper; two great grandchildren, Raven Schall and Parker Bolsen; sister-in-law Mary Ann Goss; brother-in-law Roscoe Souders; mother-in-law Inez Kern; several stepchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by a son, David Cooper; brother, John Cooper; three sisters, Helen Wilson, Jesse Kerns and Marjorie Watters; mother-in-law, Mabel Souders.
At Benjamin?s request, his body has been cremated.
Military rites will be conducted Tuesday, 7 p.m., at Cardaras Funeral Home 183 E. Second St. Logan by the combined veterans of Hocking County.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday one hour prior to services.
