Robert L. Hatfield Jr.

Robert L. Hatfield Jr., 46, of Nelsonville, went home to be with the angels Monday, November 29, 2004 following a brief illness, at his residence. He was born March 19, 1958 in Nelsonville, the son of Robert Hatfield Sr. of Nelsonville and the late Flora ?Flo? Nelson Hatfield. He was married to Deborah Blair Hatfield, of Nelsonville, for 28 years.

In addition to his wife, Deborah, and his father, he is survived by a son Robert ?BJ? Hatfield IV of Nelsonville; three daughters, Lori Nick Rucker of Nelsonville, Cassy Gregory Hanning of Murray City and Tracy Dearold Sealey of Nelsonville; two sisters, Carolyn Richard Seymour of Newark and Jean Walter Johnston of Nelsonville; mother-in-law, Arvella Lehman of Logan and he was the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren; loved by many, he was blessed by three very special friends, Shane Smith of New Marshfield, Dave Simms of Sunbury and Russell Broomfield of Columbus.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Gerald Blair.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street Nelsonville with Russell Broomfield officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Friends may call Thursday from 12:00PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
