Shirley Alice Febles

Shirley Alice Febles, 91, of Logan, passed away Monday, January 3, 2005 at The Lindley Inn in The Plains. She was born September 5, 1913 in Swanton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ulysses Grant and Alma Texture Richardson. She was widowed from her late husband, George E. Febles.

She attended Whitehouse High School, volunteered at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, was a member of Twig I, and was active at The Big Pine United Methodist Church in California.

Shirley is survived by two sons, Richard Patsy Norway of Antioch, California, Tom Norway and special friend Tammy Hixson of Nelsonville, one daughter, Geraldine S. Bill Miller of Bremen, grandchildren Brian Kandy Norway, Julie Allen Harris, Sheri Norway, Jon Kim Norway, Ron Becky Norway, Debbie John Wittington, Dave Kelly Miller, 13 great grandchildren, one sister, Bernadine Ralph Connor of Big Pine, California.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2005 at 7:00 P.M. at The Lindley Inn, 9000 Hocking Hills Drive, The Plains, Ohio, with John Wright officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street Nelsonville. Inurnment will be in California at a later date.
