Rita Diane Hickman

Rita Diane Hickman, 54, of Nelsonville, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2005 at Doctors Hospital Nelsonville. She was born July 9, 1950 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late Frank and Kathryn O?Nail Hickman.

Rita was employed at Ohio University. She was formerly employed by Jack Neal Floral, UPS and Athens County Meals on Wheels. She was a 1968 graduate of Nelsonville-York High School. She loved the ocean and was a long time supporter of the Athens County Humane Society.

She is survived by three brothers, Robert Carol Bullock of Dayton, Michael Debbie Bullock of Millersburg and Jeffrey Patricia Bullock of Palmetto, Florida; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and best friends, Lycea Keith Price and Debbie Blatt.

In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Sue Wetzel and Joyce Ann Clark; a brother, Jodrey Hickman and maternal grandparents, Charles and Florence O?Nail.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street Nelsonville with Pastor Michael Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Carbon Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
