Harold A. Johnson Sr.

Harold A. Johnson Sr., 63, of Nelsonville, passed away Saturday, February 19th, 2005 at Doctors Hospital in Nelsonville. He was born May 10th, 1941 in Hocking County, the son of the late Carl and Grace Stevenson Johnson. He was married to the late Waveline Johnson for 27 years.

Harold was a retired coal miner who enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, and doing mechanic work.

He is survived by sons; Harold L. Johnson of Nelsonville, Harold A. Johnson Jr., of Nelsonville, Kenny Fossett of Newark, Step-sons; Kevin, Chris, and Kenny, daughters; Christina John Jackson of Junction City, Tara Lynn Jon Stiers of Kentucky, Denise Shawn Coon of New Marshfield, Carolyn Harold Albright of Crooksville, step-daughter; Brenda, grandchildren; Melissa, Crystal, Jessica, Dustin, Jimmy, Johnny, Jason, Tabby, Jessica, Sierra Mae, Jessie, Meagan, Chad, Jason, Joshua, Ryan, Derek, Melinda, Steven, and Brandon, great grandchildren; Corey and Steven, brothers; Woodruff ?Dud? Leora Johnson of Logan, Donald Lois Johnson of Nelsonville, Roger Ellen Johnson of New Marshfield, Eddie Hope Johnson of Logan, Roy Debbie Johnson of Florida, sister; Arvella Lehman of Logan, sister in law; Dorothy Johnson, special cousin; Millie Dixon, and special friends; John Sue Roth, Raymond Vinning, Gene Coe, Blutcher Collins.

In addition to his parents and wife, Harold was preceded in death by a brother, Lonice Johnson and a stepdaughter, Pauline.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
