Mary Jane Sharpe

Mary Jane Sharpe, 70, of Chauncey, passed away Sunday, February 27th, 2005 at O?bleness Memorial Hospital in Athens. She was born November 21st, 1934 in Athens, Ohio, the daughter of the late Earl and Grace Mae Steinmet Secoy. She was married to the late Charles Perry.

Mary was a homemaker all her life, and was a member of the Bright Morning Star church.

She is survived by two sons, Charles Jeweline Perry of Chauncey, James Yvonne Perry of Nelsonville, four daughters, Grace Mike Matheny of Nelsonville, Marie Keith Stump Robinson of Chauncey, Nora Tom Fennel Perry of Athens, and Ada Bernard Cheatwood of Chauncey, 15 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, one brother, Bob Annette Secoy of Athens, a sister, Nora Nelville of Springfield, and a very special friend, Dusty Waldeck.

In addition to her parents and husband Charles, Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and John Secoy.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 3rd, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville, with Pastor Marilyn Crum officiating. Interment will be at Salem Cemetery, Waterloo Township. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
