Ted P. Lowes, 71, of Logan, passed away Monday, March 7, 2005, at his residence. He was born February 6, 1934, in Carbon Hill, son of the late Louis and Beulah McClure Lowes. He was married to Donna Gaskins Lowes, who survives, for 51 years.
Ted retired from Metalbestos after 39 years and was a part time security guard at Smead during his retirement. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Donna, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Jamie Lowes of Logan; several special cousins; lots of wonderful friends and neighbors and his dog Roxanne.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 10, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 105 W. Hunter St., Logan, with Pastor Brian Arnold officiating. Interment will be in Carbon Hill Cemetery where a military graveside service will be conducted by the Combined Veterans of Hocking County Burial Detail. Friends may call at Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
