John M. Adams

John M. Adams, 70, of Nelsonville, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2005 at Doctors Hospital, Nelsonville. He was born January 12, 1932 in Athens, the son of the late William A. and Mary B Hammond Adams.

He was a 1950 graduate of Rome Canaan High School and was formerly employed at The Athens Messenger.

He is survived by two brothers, Joseph B. Corraine Adams of Athens and Dale L. Melissa Adams of Port St. Lucie, Florida; two nephews, William Tammy Adams of Athens and Jonathon Adams of Florida and four nieces, Rhonda Dean Worthingstun of Florida, Judy Patrick Capehart of Kentucky, Mary Adams and Patty Adams both of Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William F. Adams and James E. Adams and a sister, Patricia Ann Adams.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville with Pastor David Cogar officiating. Interment will be at West Union St. Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call Wednesday from 12 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
