Helen M. Adams

Helen M. Adams, 87, of Nelsonville, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2005 at Doctors Hospital in Nelsonville. Helen was born September 15, 1917 in Athens County, the daughter of the late Orley and Maude Humphrey Adams.

Helen was a renowned seamstress in Nelsonville, attended the Connett United Methodist Church, and greatly enjoyed hunting for mushrooms in the hills of Southeastern Ohio.

She is survived by one son, W. Allan Jeanette Adams of Nelsonville, grandchildren, Phillip Cindy Adams, John Gina Adams, Jeff Vicki Adams, Becky Don Rodgers all of Nelsonville, David Walls of Albany, Becky Robert Funk of Lancaster, great grandchildren, Amie, Brandy, Tom, Andy, Mark, Mike, Michelle, Kimberly, Kristopher, Destiny, and William, great-great grandchildren, Mariah, Sidney, Lindsay, and Tray, brothers William Adams of New Marshfield, and Joe Ann Adams of Nelsonville.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.

Calling hours will be observed on Sunday, April 3rd from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville. Private burial will take place at a later date at Connett Cemetery.
