Mary M. Hanning

Mary M. Wetzel Hanning, 71, of Lancaster, formerly of Nelsonville and Buchtel, passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at Crestview Manor Nursing Home, Lancaster. Mary was born April 6, 1934 in Buchtel, the daughter of the late Arthur and Carrie Potter Wetzel. She was the widow of the late Arthur Hanning.

Mary was retired from Hocking College. She attended the Glory Land Nazarene Church, Lancaster and formerly the Nelsonville Nazarene Church and she was a member of the Olivedale Park Senior Center, Lancaster.

She is survived by three sons, Charles McKinley and Randy Leticia McKinley both of Lancaster and Richard Sonja McKinley of Dothan, AL; two daughters, Judith Miller of Kansas City, KS and Patricia Mark Roe of Fairborn; two stepsons, Tom Cindy Hanning, Terry Jane Hanning and a stepdaughter, Janie Dave Wirrick all of Galion; thirteen grandchildren; three step grandchildren; two brothers, William Lewis Lillie Wetzel of Canal Winchester and Ralph Barb Wetzel of Nelsonville; an uncle, John Hazel Potter of New Lexington and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, a daughter, Dianna Lynn Miller; a granddaughter, Lindsey Noel Miller and a brother, Arthur Alton Wetzel.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville. Interment will be at Connett Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
