Shirley McDaniel Wade

Shirley McDaniel Wade, 69, of Mt. Ida, Arkansas and New Plymouth, Ohio, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Mercy Health Center in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Shirley was born May 28th, 1935 in Vinton County, the daughter of the late Asa Sherman McDaniel and Irene Alberta Prader McDaniel. She was married to Fred Wade for 51 years. He survives.

Shirley was a homemaker all her life, was a member of the Lupus Foundation of America, enjoyed gardening, reading, collecting old cookbooks and visiting historical sites throughout the United States.

She is survived by one son, Jeffrey Wade of Dallas, Texas, one brother, Vaughn Marlene McDaniel of Bonifay, Florida, and one sister, Bette F. Browning of Lancaster.

The family requests contributions in Shirley?s name are made to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2000 L Street, N.W., Suite 710, Washington, D.C. 20036.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 6th, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville, with Pastor Paul Taylor officiating. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
