Bertha Faye McGomery 85 of Logan died May 12, 2005 in Logan Health Care Center. She was born February 1, 1920 in Athens County, daughter of the late George and Sarah Penrod Bodkins. She was the widow of the late Carl E. McGomery.

She was a member of Freedom Memorial Church , a member of T.O.P.S, and formerly worked at Goodyear.

Mrs. McGomery is survived by a son Rodney Shirley McGomery of Lancaster, 3 daughters Virginia Rev. Charles Spier of New Plymouth, Arlene McGomery of New Plymouth, and Esther Lindinger of McArthur. 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 1 brother Leslie Jackie Bodkins of Gallion, and a son in law Darwin McLin of Logan.

She was preceded in death by a son Jimmy McGomery, a daughter Cora McLin, sisters Murt K. Carsey, Violet Rivers, and Blanch Brewer. Brothers, Charles, Clyde, Eddie, and Pearl Bodkins.

Funeral Servivces will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday in the Cardaras Funeral Home, Logan with Rev. Marvin Walker officiating. Interment will be in New Fairview Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8PM.
