Virgie Kovaleski

Virgie Kovalesk, 85, of Chauncey, passed away Sunday, May 15th, 2005 at Kimes Convalescent Center in Athens. Virgie was born March 25th, 1920 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late John and Goldie McCombs Jones. She was the wife of John Edward Kovaleski who passed away previously.

Virgie enjoyed gardening, making homemade noodles for friends and family, was a member of the Chauncey-Dover PTO, and had a special love of being a grandmother.

She is survived by two sons, Ken Carol Kovaleski of Huber Heights, Jim Kovaleski of Columbus, one daughter, Rita Bob Harris of The Plains, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one brother, Ned Charlene Jones of Nelsonville, and one sister, Doris Conner of Nelsonville.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Max ?Slug? Kovaleski, brothers Max and Edgar Jones, and one sister, Lois Jones.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 19th, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville, with Pastor Tim Waugh officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
