Nora Jo Hall

Nora Jo Hall, 80, of Nelsonville, passed away Thursday, June 9th, 2005 at Rockmill Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster. Nora was born August 28th, 1924 in Athens County, the daughter of the late Frank and Louise McGuire. She was married to James H. Hall, who passed away previously.

Nora was a member of the Emblem Club, was well know for making delicious chocolate fudge, and attended the Wesleyan Church in Nelsonville. She was retired from Bank One in Athens.

She is survived by two daughters; Anita Spencer of Columbus and Jamie Richard Steenrod of Nelsonville, Three grandchildren; Tracie Scott Venrick of Lancaster, Cheryl Pat Davis of Mt. Vernon, and James Shannon Steenrod of Athens, 11 great grandchildren, three brothers; Max Corrine McGuire of Circleville, Franklin Vera McGuire of Nelsonville, and John McGuire of Athens, one sister; Louise Roy Hamilton of Athens.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty and Jean, and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 13th, 2005 at 12:00 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville with Pastor Michael Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, New Addition, Nelsonville. Friends may call Sunday from 6-8 P.M. and one hour prior to the services on Monday at the funeral home.
