Larry S. Ervin

Larry S. Ervin, 69, of Nelsonville, passed away Friday, June 10th, 2005 at Doctors Hospital West in Columbus. Larry was born August 22, 1935 in Chauncey, the son of the late Burns S. and Essie T. Bartlett Ervin. He was married to Dorothy Runyon for 46 years. She survives.

Larry was a painter for Ohio University for 39 years. He was a member of the Blackburn Hill Church of Christ, AFSCME Local #1699, and the Nelsonville High School class of 1954. He dearly loved his children, wife and Grandchildren.

He is survived by two son, Greg Jacky Jones of Logan, and Larry Wayne Missie Ervin of Nelsonville, two daughters, Lori Tom Cangemi of Nelsonville and Billie Jo Jeff Spencer of Murray City, grandchildren Valerie and Anthony Cangemi, Benjamin, Jacob and Rachel Ervin, Samantha and Alexandra Spencer and Jasper Jones, a special aunt, Arretta Bartlett of Nelsonville, and a special friend, Ed Moleski of Nelsonville.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 14th, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville with Matt Thomas officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Monday from 7-9 P.M., and two hours prior to the services at the funeral home.
