Mary Alice Mcbride

Mary Alice ?Sis? McBride, 49, of Nelsonville, passed away Friday, June 17, 2005 at her residence. Born May 9, 1956 in Athens, she was the daughter of Floyd Stanley of Carbondale and the late Alice Lane Kollister. She was married to Garry McBride of Nelsonville, who survives.

Sis was retired from the Athens Mental Health Center. She loved to grow flowers, swim and read. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She is survived by two daughters, Angie Timothy Chick and Rebecca Brian Ogburn both of Athens; a stepdaughter, Kelly Jeffrey Crumley of Jonesville, Virginia; two stepsons, Michael Tammy McBride of Byesville and Shawn McBride of Alaska; three grandchildren, Kaleb Ogburn, Ashlee Reynolds and Samuel Chick; a brother, Ted Joyce Stanley of Nelsonville; two sisters, Judy Scott of Logan and Janie Chuck Russell of Nelsonville and a stepfather, Roydan ?Jiggs? Kollister of Nelsonville.

In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Stanley, a grandson, Brady Chick and a grandmother, Alta ?Mama? Goff.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 21, 2005 at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville. Interment will be in New Marshfield Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
