Mary F. Strawn, 77, of Logan, passed away Monday, August 8, 2005, at her residence. She was born December 13, 1927, in Logan, daughter of the late Harry J. and Mabel I. Cook Mowery.
Mary was retired from Logan Metropolitan Housing Authority and formerly worked at the Catalog Department at Sears. She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Venus Chapter #76 O.E.S., member of the Public Employees Retirees Chapter #45 and volunteered at The Regional Food Center.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen North and Kathy Dan Armstrong both of Lancaster; three grandchildren, Scott Debbie Erskin of Lancaster, Kyle Jenny Armstrong of Misawa, Japan and Karmen Armstrong of Chicago, IL; six great grandchildren, Jeremy, Jason and Jordan Erskin of Lancaster and Jack, Sam, and Marian Armstrong of Misawa, Japan; several nieces and nephews; former husband, Marion R. ?Cliff? Strawn of Logan; goddaughter, Molly Mohler of Logan; special friends, John, Becky, Isreal, Tasha and Lexi Mohler, Marilyn Sparks all of Logan..
She is preceded in death by two brothers, Pearl Thomas Mowery and Harry Beeman Mowery; one sister, Mildred Louise Riggs.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10 a.m., at Cardaras Funeral Home 183 E. Second St. Logan, with the Rev. Gerald Frazee, officiating. Interment will be in Prospect Cemetery, Hocking Co.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where there will be an Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m.
