Joan Fellem Langel

Joan Fellem Langel, 81, of Nelsonville, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2005 at Pine Hills Continuing Care Center in Nelsonville. She was born April 15, 1924 in Nelsonville, the daughter of the late John and Mary Aiken Fellem. She was married to Ralph O. Langel, who survives.

Joan was a graduate of the Nelsonville High School Class of 1942, a 50 year member of the Logan Eastern Star, and worked for the Clerk of Courts office in Athens for many years.

She is survived by two sons, John Mary Lou Brimner of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Ron Cynthia Brimner of Valrico, Florida, five grandchildren, Hudson, Megan, Jason, John and Andrea, 12 great grandchildren, and many loving, wonderful nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by three brothers, and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 10:30 A.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville. Interment will be at West Union Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home, and one half hour prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home.
