Joe Allen Herdlitzka

Joe Allen Herdlitzka, 67, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at his residence. He was born August 26, 1938 in Nelsonville, the son of the late Pete and Elsie Ingram Herdlitzka. He was married to Roxana Ferrer Herdlitzka, who survives.

Joe was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Nelsonville Elks Lodge BPOE 543, the American Legion and the National Rifle Association.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Monique Herdlitzka of Columbus, Ailaine Ki Salehi of Columbus and Brandie Anne Herdlitzka of Nelsonville; a sister, Dixie Pat Tomer of Tulsa, OK; niece, Susan Steve Bengert; nephew, Scott Heather Tomer; aunt, Midge Blum of Logan and cousins Jerry Wallace and Wilbur Sandy Wallace.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 31, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church, Rt. 78, Buchtel with Father John Mucha officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery New Addition, Nelsonville where a military graveside service will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard Unit. Friends may call Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville where an Elks service will be conducted at 7:30 PM Saturday.
