Freda Roselyn Schoonover

Freda Roselyn Schoonover, 81, of Chauncey, passed away Monday, December 5, 2005. She was born May 5, 1924 in Chauncey, the daughter of the late Ben and Molly Fletcher Mullins.

Freda retired from Hickory Creek Nursing Center and was formerly employed at the Athens Mental Health Center. She was a graduate of Chauncey High School.

She is survived by a daughter, Lynda Rex Storer of Athens; five sons, Bill Candy Taylor Schoonover of Athens, Jeff Janice Schoonover of Millfield, Steve Diana Schoonover of Logan, Frank Schoonover and Rick Schoonover both of Chauncey; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two nephews and a niece.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Annie, Gladys and Faye Mullins, Esther O?Rourke and five brothers, Jim, Harlan, Clyde, Frank and Earl Mullins.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 8, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville with Rev. Michael Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
