Albert ?Ab? Hayden, 87, of Nelsonville, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at Doctors Hospital. He was born March 17, 1918 in Buchtel, the son of the late John and Nellie Coakley Hayden. He was married to Dorothy Fiddler Hayden, who passed away in 1975.

Ab retired from Carborandum, worked for the C&O railroad for 16 years, and was an Army Veteran of WWII.

He is survived by one son, Bryan Jean Hayden of Lancaster, two grandchildren, Marie and Melissa Hayden of Lancaster, one brother, Trix Ruby Hayden of Buchtel, and two sisters, Jean Charles Magley of Grove City, and Nancy Robert Locke of Alliance.

In addition to his parents and wife, Ab was preceded in death by brothers John, Gary, Floyd, Paul-Ed, and Ball, and one sister, Donna.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at Souers-Cardaras Funeral Home, 46 Fayette Street, Nelsonville. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Nelsonville. Friends may call Friday from 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Combined Color Guard.
