Donald E. Bickley

Donald E. Bickley, 79, of Glouster, passed away Monday, January 9, 2006 at Doctors Hospital in Nelsonville. He was born May 29, 1926 in Glouster, the son of the late Enoch Bickley and Ola Price Bickley Phillips. Donald was married to Gloria Jean Brunton Bickley, of Glouster, for 58 years.

He was employed at Borden Milk in Columbus for 42 years, a member of the Glouster Church of Christ, and was a WWII Navy Veteran.

In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by a son, Donald Elizabeth Bickley II of Blacklick; a daughter, Melinda Ron Pennell of Columbus; three grandchildren, Ryan Bickley of Cincinnati, Erin Doug Stachler of New Albany, Kevin Bickley of Blacklick and a sister Nancy Joe Molletti of Lucasville.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Pryce Bickley and two sisters, Velma Rankin and Verna Miller.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 13, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Glouster Church of Christ, 32 Fairlawn Ave., Glouster, with Tim Seevers officiating. Interment will be at Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster. Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Cardaras Funeral Home, 30 Main St., Glouster and Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
