Garnet A. Bentz

Garnet A. Bentz, 101, of Glouster, passed away Monday, January 30, 2006, at Kimes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Athens. She was born April 9, 1904, in Huntington, West Virginia, daughter of the late Sigmond and Elizabeth Jane Adkins. She was the widow of the late Warren Bentz.

Garnet retired from the Athens Mental Health Center, where she worked as a nurse, and was also a member of Mound Hill Christian Church, Amesville.

She is survived by five grandchildren, Julie, Russ, Joe, David, and Danny; seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Redith Staley and one sister, Pearl Burns.

Private graveside services will be held Saturday at Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster, with Tim Seevers officiating.
